World Environment Day 2026 with a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and encouraging members to care for the trees they plant. Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, MASSS invited members to share photographs of the saplings they had planted during the previous year’s Environment Day celebration, emphasizing that nurturing trees is as important as planting them.
As part of the campaign, participants were requested to submit a photograph taken at the time of planting along with a recent photograph showing the current growth and condition of the sapling. The initiative highlighted the importance of long-term environmental stewardship and inspired members to actively contribute to creating a greener and healthier environment through consistent care and protection of trees.
The programme received an enthusiastic response from members across various villages, reflecting their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living. In recognition of their dedication and active participation, prizes were awarded to Ancy Joseph, Gracy, Tessy Tomy, Riya Saji, Lissy Mathew, Mini Saji, Manju Saji, and Sathyabhama Krishnakumar for their outstanding efforts in nurturing and protecting the saplings they had planted.MASSS extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement in making the World Environment Day 2026 celebration a meaningful and impactful initiative.
