The Malabar Regional Platinum Stars Selection Camp was held at Sreepuram Barumariam Pastoral Centre, Kannur, as part of the Malabar Migration Platinum Jubilee. The camp was organized with the objective of identifying talented students and nurturing their potential through leadership development, personality enhancement, and skill-building activities. It provided participants with opportunities to strengthen their confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and overall personal growth, preparing them to become responsible leaders and positive contributors to society. A total of 34 students from the Madampam and Rajapuram Forane participated in the three-day selection camp. The participants were students who had successfully completed Class VII and were promoted to Class VIII, selected from various parishes to take part in the programme.
The camp was inaugurated by Rev.Fr.Joy Kattiyankal, Director of the Sreepuram Barumariam Pastoral Centre. Rev. Fr. Jibil Kuzhivelil, Secretary of MASSS, delivered the introductory address, highlighting the importance of empowering young people through leadership training and value-based education. The sessions were led by Mr. Joby Moolayil, conducted interactive activities focusing on leadership qualities, personality development, communication skills, teamwork, self-confidence, and life skills. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Shanly Thomas, Project Coordinator, along with Ms. Prajina and Ms. Rosaria who facilitated the smooth conduct of the camp.
